The Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics welcomes two types of members:

Full Membership

Organizations that wish to become full members must meet the following criteria:

  • Is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization or is part of a larger 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization;
  • Is located in the State of Florida or serves residents of the State of Florida;
  • Has a primary mission to provide health care services at little or no charge to low-income, uninsured or underserved individuals;
  • Provides one or more of the following services: medical care, dental care, mental health care or prescription medications;
  • Utilizes volunteer healthcare professionals, non-clinical volunteers, and partnerships with other healthcare providers; and,
  • Is not a rural health center (an "RHC), a federally qualified health center (an “FQHC”) or an FQHC look-alike, but may be a “hybrid” model that contains elements similar to an FQHC or FQHC look-alike.

Annual dues for Full Members are one-tenth of 1% of the current operating (expense) budget, with a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $500.

Associate Membership

Associate Members are organizations that support FAFCC’s mission and desire to participate in the life of the Association. Associate members include but are not limited to vendors and suppliers of goods and services to the free/charitable healthcare sector; foundations; associations; professional societies; educational institutions; hospitals/health systems; advocacy groups; and more.

Annual dues for Associate Members are $500.


Please review some important information before moving forward: 

  • FAFCC will no longer be accepting members from July-December. Additionally, FAFCC does not prorate membership dues. We ask that you return in January of the next calendar year and begin the membership process then. 

  • Completing the below questions and paying membership dues DOES NOT guarantee membership. All interested clinics/networks will be required to complete the full length Membership Application and a phone interview with the organization’s Membership Services Coordinator and Director of Programs.  

  • Clinics will receive a formal approval or declination notice regarding FAFCC membership. 

  • Please note: an organization must be a member by July 1st in order to be eligible for the State Funds Grant.
