She will lead the Free Clinic’s 60 staff and more than 400 volunteers.

ST. PETERSBURG – The St. Petersburg Free Clinic has named Jennifer Yeagley, M.A. as its CEO after a national search.

“Jennifer has deep experience in nonprofit and community leadership, but more importantly, she has a passion for our mission. She’s energized by the opportunity to make a positive difference for our neighbors in need,” said Janet Adams, chair of the Free Clinic’s executive search committee.

As CEO, Yeagley will lead the Free Clinic’s 60 staff and more than 400 volunteers. The Free Clinic’s eight food, shelter, and health care programs distribute more than 11 million pounds of food to community members annually, provide more than 9,000 with free health and wellness services annually, and help another 400 annually on their path to independent living through shelter services.

“It’s exciting to join the organization as it celebrates 50 years of changing lives with help and hope,” Yeagley said. “I look forward to working alongside the staff, board of directors and dedicated volunteers to lead the St. Petersburg Free Clinic into its next half century of incredible impact.”

Over the past 20 years, Yeagley has served in executive, development and operational roles for human services organizations in Texas, California and Florida. Most recently, she has worked as the vice president for administrative and strategic operations for Clearwater-based Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services.

At GCJFS, Yeagley played a key role in enhancing the organization’s community engagement and strengthening its positive impact. As one example of her leadership, she led GCJFS’ HUD housing community in significant improvements to the facility and expanded services for the 106 vulnerable seniors it houses, including increased access to health services and connections to food bank partners.

Additionally, Yeagley is a founding board member for the Plus Projec+, a driving force in providing an equitable and just community where all LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive. She is a noted speaker on diversity and cultural competence, and has presented forums for the National Association for African-American Studies, Mid-Atlantic Women’s Studies Association, Florida Philanthropic Network, and others.

Yeagley succeeds Interim CEO Michael O. Bice when she becomes CEO on Feb. 28.

The St. Petersburg Free Clinic is a multi-service, independent, not-for-profit human services agency providing neighbors in need assistance with food, shelter and health care since 1970. The Free Clinic is comprised of eight programs that are a beacon of hope for families and individuals who fall through the cracks of existing systems and services.
