About the Annual Conference

You are cordially invited to participate in our 2019 Annual Conference. Our theme is “Transforming Clinic, Improving Health Equity.” The Annual Conference is the premier educational and networking meeting for Florida’s free/charitable clinics and networks, and their partners. This year's conference will be geared towards providing professional insight on achieving health equity through clinical and administrative practices.

Every year the Annual Conference brings together executive directors, clinical coordinators, development staff, volunteer providers, and board members, as well as leaders of local and statewide health organizations, for nearly two days of learning, dialogue, and mutual support. This year's attendees can expect to participate in a variety of sessions from addressing health disparities to program evaluating.

We are anticipating over 200 attendees this year and look forward to seeing you there!

Pre-Conference Event: Mental Health First Aid Certification

Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness, suicide and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to provide initial help to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis until they can access appropriate professional help. Participants leave the course with certificate recognizing them as a mental health first aider that is valid for three years.

This will be offered the day before the Annual Conference on Wednesday, September 4th, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. A separate registration form will be sent out for this event on June 10th. Please note: you must be registered or plan to register for the conference in order to attend this event. Space will be limited to 30 individuals and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be created, so it is imperative that if you are no longer able to make the training, you notify FAFCC staff immediately.
