Karen Harwood

Karen Harwood, MSW, CCM, SHRM-CP is the Executive Director of Community Programs at Palm Beach County Medical Society Services (PBCMSS). With a strong background in care coordination and program development, she has led initiatives across home health, non-profit, hospice, and insurance sectors to enhance outcomes for patients and caregivers.

Karen holds a Master of Social Work from Florida International University and is certified in both Case Management (CCM) and Human Resources (SHRM-CP). Over the past nine years at PBCMSS, she has trained more than 300 Community Health Workers, delivering 30 hours of care coordination curriculum per participant. She serves as the School Director for the PBCMSS Institute for Learning and oversees Project Access, a program connecting underserved individuals to critical health services.

Karen is actively engaged in community leadership, currently serving on the Board of the Diabetes Coalition of Palm Beach County and St. Philip’s Orthodox Church. She is also the Policy Sub-Committee Co-Chair for the Florida Community Health Worker Coalition.
