Who We Are
FAFCC was founded to strengthen and support Florida's free and charitable clinics, ensuring access to healthcare for the underserved.
What began as a visionary idea in the mid-2000s, led by dedicated clinic leaders and championed by Marisel Losa, evolved into an independent nonprofit organization in 2013.
Since its inception, FAFCC has been a driving force in advocating for Florida’s healthcare safety net, securing funding, and providing resources to clinics across the state.
A pivotal moment came in 2014 when FAFCC successfully secured its first $4.5 million state appropriation, which has since grown to $9.5 million.
Today, with over 111 member clinics and growing, FAFCC remains committed to expanding access to care for Floridians in need.
