We are excited to announce the official launch of the FAFCC Emergency Room (ER) Diversion Data Project! This initiative is a critical step in demonstrating the impact our clinics have on reducing unnecessary emergency room visits, ultimately helping to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs across Florida.
We recently hosted a webinar to review this project. You can view the webinar using this link. A copy of the presentation can also be accessed here.
Why This Project Matters:
As free and charitable clinics, you play a vital role in providing accessible healthcare to underserved communities. By collecting data through this project, we will be able to:
-
- Quantify the Impact: Showcase how our services prevent unnecessary ER visits and improve overall community health.
- Support Advocacy Efforts: Use data-driven insights to influence policy changes and secure vital funding.
- Enhance Patient Care: Identify common reasons for ER visits and develop targeted interventions to better serve our patients.
How to Get Involved:
We request that all FAFCC member clinics sign up to participate in this project. To confirm your clinic’s participation, please complete the following form: ER Diversion Data Project Participation Form.
The form includes details on how to request an exception if your clinic is unable to participate, but we strongly encourage every clinic to join this important initiative.
Next Steps:
- Sign Up: Please complete the participation form as soon as possible to ensure your clinic is included in the project.
- Prepare Your Team: Once signed up, FAFCC will provide you with all the necessary tools and resources to successfully implement the survey in your clinic.
- Start Collecting Data: The project officially goes live on October 1, 2024. Be ready to begin collecting valuable data that will benefit your clinic and the entire FAFCC network.
