Position Overview The Optometrist will provide high-quality vision and eye health services to patients who otherwise would not have access to optometric care. This role is vital in addressing preventable vision problems and supporting overall health outcomes for underserved children, adults, and seniors in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vision and eye health services for those with no access to optometric care.
• Conduct eye exams, visual acuity testing, and diagnose conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and connect patients with further care as needed.
• Educate on eye health, prevention, and healthy living.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
• Participate in community outreach events and patient education activities.
• Document encounters in our electronic health records and assist with outcomes reporting for grants.

Qualifications Licensed in the state of Florida as an active Optometrist.
