Position Overview The licensed physician or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) serving on the Mobile Medical Clinic is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a community-based setting. This includes determining patients’ medical needs, performing thorough examinations, providing counseling and education, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications as clinically indicated. Providers are expected to carry out all duties in accordance with Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic standards and policies. In addition, providers are responsible for ensuring timely and complete documentation for all patient encounters within Amazing Charts. Documentation may be completed directly by the provider in the EHR or facilitated through the use of a designated scribe.

The role requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to underserved populations. Person will be responsible for transportation to and from locations of the mobile clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and determine patients’ medical needs through history and examination
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide patient counseling, education, and preventive care services
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests\
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical guidelines
  • Ensure all care aligns with clinic standards and policies
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in Amazing Charts
  • Collaborate with care team to support continuity of care and referrals 

Qualifications Current and valid Florida License
