Position Overview The front desk team is the welcoming face to our organization providing patients with a warm reception and helpful interactions. Volunteers serve as the clinic’s check in/check out, answer the phone, schedule appointments, update contact information and prepare necessary documents as needed for patients and providers. All front desk volunteers attend a two-hour training reviewing clinic procedures and our electronic medical records (EMR) system. Support is provided and questions are encouraged but volunteers must also be able to work independently and multi-task.

Qualifications

• Friendly & approachable demeanor
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to navigate EMR system with limited support
• Able to commit to 2 - 3 shifts per month
