Position Overview Qualifying volunteers review all new patient applications to determine if the applicant meets VIM Jax eligibility requirements - someone in the household works 20 hours per week, does not have insurance and falls within a specific income bracket. They review paystubs, employer documentation and any additional records to ensure compliancy. Volunteers schedule calls with potential patients to update them on their status, ask for more records, schedule their first appointment, or direct to community resources if they do not qualify.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working with a computer
• Comfortable talking on the phone with applicants
• Detail oriented & able to find specific information from financial documentation
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Must commit to the same 4-hour shift every week
